International Comfort Products (ICP) recently honoured three Canadian HVAC wholesalers as the Comfortmaker, KeepRite and Tempstar distributors of the year for their achievements in customer support and sales growth.

Mike DuFour, general sales manager, ICP Canada, presented the awards to: Wolseley Canada – KeepRite Distributor of the Year; Sinclair Supply Ltd. – Tempstar Distributor of the Year; and TTI Climatisation Chauffage, Inc. – Comfortmaker Distributor of the Year.

“Last year, Wolseley grew their business in all product categories,” says DuFour. “They added a number of new sales team members, which means more feet on the street to propel them towards their aggressive sales objectives.”

Sinclair Supply, headquartered in Edmonton, AB, won for its substantial growth. “By adding Tempstar dealers, participating in the growing rental furnace segment and giving more attention to commercial customers, Sinclair grew its business by more than 20 per cent in 2015,” says DuFour. “In fact, commercial is now the fastest growing segment of their business in the majority of their branches.”

Dufour noted that TTI Climatisation Chauffage, of Longueuil, QC, which won for its mastery of brand recognition, made good marketing choices. “They use their co-op funds very wisely with smart media buys, such as 45 billboards in the Montreal region,” says DuFour. “It’s working – their sales have doubled over the past year and they’re still growing.”

Each year, ICP selects Canadian Distributors of the Year from its network of independent distributors located throughout Canada for outstanding achievements in sales growth and customer support.
