Help girls GETT ideas about a career in the trades and technologies

Journeywomen, female apprentices and women working in the trade and technology sectors are encouraged to apply to be a mentor for the Girls Exploring Trades and Technology (GETT) Conference in Edmonton, AB, on May 16, 2013. Organizers are looking for energetic trade and technology specialists to share their experience, knowledge and enthusiasm for their career choice. A key feature of the GETT Conference is round table discussions hosted by women mentors working in various trade and technology sectors. The mentor’s stories, experiences and knowledge will motivate students to open their minds to the diverse career paths available in today’s most dynamic industries. Send your mentor application. Skills Canada Alberta is presenting the 12th Annual GETT Conference at the Edmonton Expo Centre in conjunction with the 2013 Provincial Skills Canada Competition and Skill City.
