The aisles were busy for the 2013 edition of MCEE with attendance up five per cent, following the success of the 2011 show which recorded an 18 per cent increase. The two-day trade show took place in Montreal on April 17-18. The sold-out exhibit hall featured 400 exhibitors from all sectors of the industry. And the numbers are:
• 7405 industry members attended MCEE 2013
• Contractor attendance increased by 12 per cent to 2189.
• Wholesaler attendance increased by 7 per cent to 897.
• Engineer attendance increased 4.8 per cent to 433.
A New Product Showcase featured the more than 100 products, with winners being selected by a special panel of industry experts. The 18 seminars covered a cross section of industry topics representing all of the sectors participating in the show. Produced by the Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Quebec (CMMTQ), the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), Corporation of Master Electricians of Quebec (CMEQ), and the Corporation des entreprises en traitement de l’air et du froid (CETAF), with support from EFC Quebec and IES Montreal, MCEE combines four previous shows. The next edition is set for April 2015.
