Unico, Inc. announced at AHR that it has a new product offering through its partnership with Italian manufacturer ArgoclimaUnico’s small-duct, high-velocity central heating and air conditioning system will work in conjunction with the manufacturer’s Technibel split system and outdoor inverter unit. According to Unico these product additions will allow customers to efficiently heat and cool areas where space is at a premium even for small-duct systems. “We are not aware of any other company that offers small duct systems that pair up with mini-split systems,” said Scott Intagliata, marketing director at Unico, Inc. “It’s a unique offering that provides our customers more options when retrofitting heating and air conditioning in an older home, or when designing a new home.”

Approved for use in Canada, the Technibel line includes refrigerant-based outdoor inverter units that range in size from one to four tons with high SEER ratings. The outdoor units compressor never “turns off,” rather it matches the power request of the indoor units thereby eliminating cycling. The inverter has an operating range from -25F to +122F. The line also includes high wall indoor ductless mini-split units that generate less than 21 decibels of sound with the outdoor units at 42dB. The indoor mini-split models weigh 17.6 pounds and 26.2 pounds.
