A new contender in the North American thermoplastic pipe market

Bänninger is headquartered in Reiskirchen, Germany and has been manufacturing thermoplastic pipe and fittings for the plumbing industry since 1970.

Massachusetts-based thermoplastic valve and pipe manufacturer Asahi/America, Inc. has announced a partnership with Bänninger. Through this new partnership, Asahi/America will have exclusive distribution rights in North America to the German manufacturer’s PP-RCT piping systems for the commercial plumbing market. At press time a company spokesperson noted that Asahi/America is still working out the details with Canadian distributors.

Marketed under the tradename Asahitec, Asahi/America will offer Bänninger’s Climatec system for hydronic heating applications, and the Watertec system for potable water.

Bänninger, headquartered in Reiskirchen, Germany, has been manufacturing thermoplastic pipe and fittings for the plumbing industry since 1970. Likewise, Asahi/America has been supplying thermoplastic valves, pipe and fittings, and actuation to a variety of industrial markets since 1971. Both companies are ISO 9001:2008 certified. The Asahitec line is NSF 14-pw certified.
