Join the 2017 Grundfos Canada Walk for Water

September 19, 2017 | By HPAC Magazine

Grundfos Canada has raised over $36,000 to date through its Walk for Water event.

Every day, millions of women and children in developing countries walk nearly four miles to retrieve water to meet their families’ daily needs. In most cases, even after walking for miles and miles, the water they have to drink is contaminated.

The fifth Grundfos Canada Walk for Water will simulate this trek to raise awareness of the global water crisis. Each participant will start the Walk with an empty bucket. About half-way through, they will fill that bucket with water and complete the remainder of the course. Participants end the Walk with a better understanding of the challenges people around the world face daily in search of something that we often take for granted – water.

Grundfos Canada has raised over $36,000 through this initiative in the last four years. Working with Foundation coup de Coeur from Montreal and Water Missions International from Charleston, SC, it has been part of the support to help with water projects in Uganda (2015), Honduras (2016) and Peru and the Philippines (2017).
