Women in HVACR hosted a wine and cheese social at CMPX to generate awareness about the organization and to prompt discussion between women in the HVAC/R industries.

Women in HVACR, a group that encourages education, networking and mentoring for women in the industry, held an informative meet and greet at the Canadian Mechanical and Plumbing Exposition (CMPX) in March. The evening event allowed attendees to meet women who work in the trades industries, and to learn about the membership programs this group offers.

Colleen Keyworth, marketing chair for Women in HVACR, explained that the group has attracted numerous members in the United States, but has not had the same response in Canada. Events, such as this one, are helping to spread awareness about this organization to Canadians. Keyworth said that she hopes to have a booth at the next CMPX show.  For more information, visit www.womeninhvacr.org.
