Promoting and improving youth participation in apprenticeship training

April 21, 2015 | By HPAC Magazine

Saskatchewan roundtable takes a nationwide look at apprenticeship.

A roundtable discussion on Thursday, May 28 at the Delta Bessborough in Saskatoon, SK will focus on youth apprenticeship initiatives from across the country.

The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) will share survey findings on how youth, parents and educators perceive careers in the skilled trades. A panel of youth apprenticeship champions from five provinces will present the challenges, opportunities and best practices in youth engagement from their provinces. Finally, roundtable discussion will address how all apprenticeship stakeholders can support and encourage youth participation in the skilled trades.

Space is limited and CAF-FCA recommends advance registration.  Members of CAF-FCA attend at no cost.
