Wolseley appointee to grow commercial business

Michelle Stanford has been named general manager, sales strategy, plumbing and HVAC/R with Wolseley Canada. Her role includes implementing go-to-market strategies and working with the wholesaler’s sales and general managers to develop processes that enhance sales efficiency and productivity. Stanford will also review business performance and market analytics to ensure Wolseley is consistently meetings its customers’ needs.
“Michelle will be instrumental in enhancing the ways we engage with our customer and vendor partners, and in growing our commercial operations across Canada,” said Akbar Makalai, vice-president, plumbing and HVAC/R, Wolseley Canada.
Stanford was most recently with Bottom Line Consulting Group where she designed and executed strategic and operational improvement programs for financial institutions. Prior to Bottom Line Consulting, Stanford worked for IMS Health as the vice-president, strategic account management, Americas, and global vice-president of client loyalty. In this role, Stanford managed the U.S. sales and sales operations teams, developed and transformed the company’s commercial operations, and was responsible for US$800 million in annual revenue for the company.
