Your fee includes all the material you will need for the course and lunch. Please bring a pencil and a calculator.

School certificate:
Students who successfully complete the school will receive a framed certificate of completion.

Participants in The Art of Hydronics Fundamentals School will gain knowledge of hydronic system basics, including the concept of heat loss calculation. Presented by the Canadian Hydronics Council of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating, this course is designed to identify the fundamental principles related to today’s hydronic systems. Relevant topics are covered so installers of all levels of experience will gain information to become more functional when practicing this craft.

Participants will take from this course the  knowledge of how the design relates to installation and how to avoid the pitfalls that cause an installation to fail.

What will you learn?
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand and apply  basic concepts of heat loss
  • Understand the characteristics of various types of boilers
  • Correctly interpret and apply manufacturers’ instructions
  • Identify and arrange required boiler trim
  • Recognize various piping systems and their applications
  • Identify basic types of heat emission systems

Who should attend?
This is recommended for anyone who wants to learn or refresh and update their knowledge on the latest in hydronic practices:  installers, contractors, designers, wholesalers, manufacturers and agents.

Instructor:  Nick Pellegrino
Nick is the Technical Sales Specialist for Canada with Thermo 2000 Inc Hot Water Systems. He is also a licensed plumber and steamfitter with more than 30 years experience in the trades as a contractor. A strong advocate for training he has taught courses for the Canadian Hydronics Council on a number of occasions and is also a part time instructor with Mohawk College.  

Full refund less $50 administration fee will be allowed for cancellations received 5 business days prior to the event.
