Mark your calendars to join SCC in celebration of World Standards Day 2016! This event will include the presentation of the 2016 SCC Awards – Canada’s national awards in standardization, as well as a brief update on SCC’s operations and strategic direction.

Where: Canadian Museian Museum of Nature, Rotunda Room, 240 McLeod St, Ottawa, ON K2P 2R1

The theme of World Standards Day 2016 is “Standards Build Trust.” SCC’s event will focus on the role that standards play in supporting innovation and innovative solutions – by building trust in the marketplace through standardization. Generating and commercializing innovations is fundamental to a country’s economic health. SCC is committed to working with government and industry to ensure that Canada remains competitive and leads in key sectors to develop new and emerging technologies, products and processes.

SCC is also proud to recognize the recipients of the 2016 SCC Awards. These individuals and organizations exemplify leadership and dedication to standards and standards development. This event provides an opportunity for Canada’s standardization network to honour them and recognize their contributions, as well as to share information about the important work they do.
