Take A List – Check It Twice

October 1, 2014 | By Adey

Step-by-step annual servicing of gas appliances.

With the heating season at hand, it is time for you to provide annual servicing and maintenance of heating appliances. Whether this is done under a service contract, or as requested by the customer, regular service will improve efficiency, lengthen equipment life and reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. It also provides an opportunity for you to offer guidance to the customer and possibly generate sales. While you are in customers’ homes, ask them whether they have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors–you could save a life. Note that in the Yukon and Ontario (effective October 15, 2014, read more here) CO detectors are required by law in all residential homes.
