The MOU was signed on August 26 by Peter Steffes (l) HRAI chair and Ryan Dougherty, GEO chief operating officer at HRAI’s AGM in Calgary, AB.

The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and the Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a framework for cooperation in the development and improvement of the geothermal heating and cooling industry in Canada and the U.S.

The MOU will promote and facilitate cooperation and assistance between the organizations in providing services to their respective members. Members of the associations, some of which are common to both, include those with residential and commercial interests. The purpose of the MOU is to define for the respective memberships the ways in which the associations will work together in dealing with governmental and non-governmental entities in each country.
