Federal, provincial governments contribute $53.5M for Efficiency Nova Scotia

July 25, 2018 | By Jillian Morgan

Efficiency Nova Scotia will receive $53.5 million in funding from federal and provincial governments over the next four years.

Distributors, contractors, consulting engineers and other energy efficiency trade professionals must complete an online application to be listed in the Efficiency Trade Network directory.

Companies eligible to do installs for rebates must be in operation for a year, have $1 million in general liability insurance coverage, be compliant and in good standing with Nova Scotia’s Workers’ Compensation Board and compete a minimum of one project with Energy Efficiency Nova Scotia each calendar year.

The program’s rebates are available on energy efficient heating systems, including heat pumps, boilers and pellet/wood stoves. Rebates for new measures, such as faucet aerators, energy efficient showerheads and hot water pipe wrap, are also now available. www.efficiencyns.ca
