Evapco acquires Alcoil to form Evapco Alcoil

December 6, 2017 | By Jillian Morgan

Evapco Alcoil will operate from the existing Alcoil location in York, PA.

Evapco has announced the name of its newly formed company: Evapco Alcoil – the result of its acquisition of Pennsylvania-based manufacturer, Alcoil, announced in October.

The company will continue to pursue the same business Alcoil has developed: designing and manufacturing micro-channel heat exchangers.

“Alcoil is an excellent strategic fit with the company and aligns well with our growth objectives. Micro-channel technology plays an important role in our future growth as we continue offering a full spectrum of global solutions,” said Evapco president and CEO, Bill Bartley.

Alcoil is involved in the manufacturing, development, application and OEM support for brazed aluminum heat exchangers for the HVAC/R and industrial process industries globally.

John Kollasch has been appointed the vice president and general manager of Evapco Alcoil. Kollasch, an employee of Evapco for 26 years, brings extensive coil experience in the HVAC and industrial refrigeration industries.

“I’m excited to infuse the talent that John can bring to Evapco Alcoil as we look to transform Alcoil into a manufacturing company with an ‘Evapcoesque’ level of lofty success,” said Bartley.

Evapco’s products are geared for the commercial HVAC, industrial refrigeration, power general and industrial process markets. The company has 78 active patents on the market, and supplies through a sales network of more than 170 offices. With its headquarters in Taneytown, MD, Evapco engineers and manufactures its products in 24 locations in 10 countries. www.evapco-alcoil.com
