Program offers more than $20,000 to students entering the mechanical contracting field, with a deadline of September 1.
Applications are now open for the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC)’s Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series, renamed this year in recognition of the association’s past CEO.
The program, a collaboration between MCAC associate members and the Construction Education Council, offers more than $20,000 in scholarships toward supporting the educational journey of apprentices, post-secondary graduates, and current undergraduates in the mechanical contracting field.
Eligible applicants must be a Student Chapter Member or a child/ward of a salaried employee from a MCAC member company, and enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program connected to the mechanical contracting industry from an accredited Canadian university, college or apprenticeship program.
Applicants must also have a “B” average from the previous year and not otherwise be receiving a major scholarship or bursary. The deadline for applications is September 1, 2024. Additional information can be found on the MCAC’s website and in their digital informational flyer.
