ASHRAE Hosts Annual Conference in Toronto

A few Canadians were recognized among the Society's 2022 Honour and Awards recipients.

ASHRAE, the global professional engineering society committed to advancing the state of HVAC/R, held its 2022 Annual Conference in Toronto June 25 to 29, and as part of the event the society recognized outstanding achievements with its Honours and Awards program.

This year a few Canadians were selected to receive awards, including:

  • Josh Bourbonniere, P.Eng., of the Ottawa Valley ASHRAE Chapter, who received the Lincoln Bouillon Award, which recognizes a member who performs at increasing membership. Bourbonniere is an account manager with Trane in Ottawa.
  • Mitchell Rohrer, P.Eng., of the Hamilton Chapter, received the Dan Mills Chapter Programs Award, which recognizes excellence in chapter program endeavours. Rohrer is in engineering sales with Master Group, located in Vaughan, Ontario.
  • John M. House, Ph.D., principal, John House Consulting Services in Saint Leonard, Quebec received a Distinguished Service award.

During the conference ASHRAE also introduced its 2022-23 Board of Directors, and taking on the role of ASHRAE president for 2022-23 is Farooq Mehboob, a principal consultant for S. Mehboob & Company Consulting Engineers in Karachi, Pakistan.
