BC Safety Authority calls for Technology Advisory Committee member applications

The BC Safety Authority is recruiting members for its Gas Technology Advisory Committee. This committee is a formal advisory group that provides a forum for industry feedback on gas safety issues. The Gas Technology Advisory Committee is looking for expertise in the following areas:
• Building managers and owners;
• Consultants;
• Institutions (schools, hospitals);
• Professionals;
• Propane; and
• Education and training.

Technology Advisory Committees are designed to assist BC Safety Authority in carrying out its mandate to maintain and improve public safety in the technical areas under its jurisdiction. Technology Advisory Committees are not decision-making bodies. Their role is to identify and to advise BC Safety Authority on issues related to technical safety, regulatory operations and service delivery. Applications will be accepted until July 15, 2015.
