CAF-FCA launches women in trades conference, calls for agenda pitches

April 25, 2018 | By Jillian Morgan

Planning is underway for The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) inaugural Supporting Women in Trades Conference.

The event aims to bring together up to 300 delegates and organizations that work to attract, prepare, up-skill and support women in the skilled trades.

Initiatives across Canada that work to tackle challenges facing women in the trades and the organizations serving them will be the focus of the agenda.

The information will be used to inform policies and advocate for sustainable funding to attract and retain women in the skilled trades, according to CAF-FCA. The forum has invited groups to submit their approaches by April 30, 2018.

Supporting Women in Trades Conference will be held from November 6-7, 2018 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront in Halifax, NS. www.caf-fca.com
