Wolseley Canada has announced that effective August 1, 2013, Keith VanderVennet, currently the senior vice president of Wolseley Canada, will return to Ferguson (Wolseley’s U.S. operation), in the role of senior vice president of sales. VanderVennet, who has lead Wolseley Canada since 2007, will be succeeded by Darcy Curran as senior vice-president of Wolseley Canada. In this role, Curran will have full management and profit and loss responsibility over all facets of Wolseley Canada, including customer service, strategic planning and execution as well as delivering on the company’s financial targets. Curran has been with Ferguson since 1987, where he has been instrumental in integrating acquisitions, opening new locations and growing market share with existing businesses. Since 2006 Curran has served as the general manager of Ferguson’s Washington/Baltimore profit center, running one of Ferguson’s most successful supply houses. “I am extremely excited for the opportunity to join Wolseley Canada. I look forward to working with the talented Canadian team and helping this dynamic business grow even stronger,” said Curran. He will relocate to Burlington, ON, in mid-February to begin the transition.
