CIPH awards Kevin Wong for key contributions to the industry
Kevin Wong is the recipient of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) Joseph K. Seidner Award.
Wong is the former executive director of the Canadian Water Quality Association (CWQA) and technical manager at CIPH. He retired from CWQA in March 2017 and from CIPH in February 2018, after 12 years of service with the association.
Wong is the 17th Joseph K. Seidner Award winner. The award recognizes his contributions to Canadian plumbing codes and standards.
Ralph Suppa, CIPH president and general manager, and Kevin Ernst, general manager at OS&B and chair of the Plumbing and Mechanical Advisory Council, presented the award.
“I have been honoured and blessed with working with some of the brightest minds in this industry,” said Wong in his acceptance speech. “Bringing the industry’s best minds together will attract government seeking our input, members seeking our council and other stakeholders seeking our help.”
The recipient, approved by CIPH, must be nominated for outstanding service on: CIPH’s Plumbing & Mechanical Advisory Council, the Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing and various CSA International Standard Writing Committees. www.ciph.com
