CIPH challenges Canadian students to make their schools more water wise

November 15, 2013 | By HPAC Magazine

The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) has launched Canada’s Most Water Wise School Competition, which offers the opportunity for students across Canada to develop a case study submission that details how their school can conserve and use water wisely. It is open to students studying engineering, business, environmental studies, and other relevant fields at both the university and college level. Submissions must include an interdisciplinary approach with input from both engineering and business students so that the submission covers the technical and business/financial aspect of water conservation at the school. The winning team will receive $3,000, while the second place team will take away $1,000. The deadline for registration is December 11, 2013, with case study submissions due February 21, 2014. Winners will be announced on March 11, World Plumbing Day – 2014. For more information contact Elizabeth McCullough, general manager – trade shows, CIPH.
