DeWalt held a media event to announce its FlexVolt technology.

DeWalt recently hosted a product launch in Baltimore, MD, and introduced the cordless future of power tools to trade media from across North America.

Refined battery technology and high-efficiency brushless motors are just two characteristics that describe the new FlexVolt technology. The FlexVolt battery is backwards compatible with most of the company’s 20V Max tools, and can also be used in the new line-up of 60V Max and 120V Max tools. The batteries also automatically change voltage when the user plugs them into various DeWalt tools.

The company encouraged guests to assess the tools, and aside from increased battery life and durability, many noted the ergonomic and lightweight design.

The line of DeWalt FlexVolt power tools, including grinders and drills are expected to be released in the upcoming months.
