On September 14, Danfoss celebrated the 70th anniversary of the opening of its Canada office. Recently named president of Danfoss North America (NAM) in July, Rick Sporrer, along with other members of the NAM leadership team, were in attendance to celebrate along with the site’s local employees.

“Our Canada team is vital to our growth in North America,” said Sporrer. “They support all Danfoss segments and service customers across Canada, building valuable relationships. When we combine the passion for customer service, with Danfoss technologies and solutions, I believe we can all envision continued success.”

Initially located in Toronto, the office began as a one-person sales site, grew into a sales and manufacturing operation with as many as 150 employees, and now serves as a sales and service organization, relocating to Oakville, Ontario, in late 2020. The 40-person team represents all Danfoss segments: Climate Solutions, Drives and Power Solutions. Several corporate human resources and communications staff are also based there. About two-thirds of the sales team works remotely in cities across Canada, staying flexible and responsive to customer needs.
