Technology supports accurate measurement across HVAC systems and assists in the energy savings required for building decarbonization efforts.
EBTRON, a provider of airflow measurement and control solutions based in Loris, SC, has been granted two patents in Canada and the U.S. for its velocity-weighted temperature measurement technology.
The first of the technology used in EBTRON’s multi-point airflow measurement devices to receive a patent is the company’s bead-in-glass thermistor. This allows the device to record and provide independent velocities, and measures multi-point independent temperatures throughout the velocity profile.
Also receiving a patent is EBTRON’s ruggedized relative humidity sensor, which measures velocity, temperature, relative humidity, enthalpy and dew point with enhanced averaging accuracy for controls across VAV, Economizer and DOAS systems
By supporting accurate measurement across HVAC systems, this technology assists in the energy savings required for building decarbonization efforts. This technology is now available on all models of EBTRON’s measurement device for ducts and plenums, the GTx116e-PC/H.
