ecobee appointments to support utility partnerships

As smart thermostat maker ecobee Inc. continues to partner on utility programs across North America, the company has hired two new executives on its business development team. Ann Perreault joins ecobee as director strategic partnerships, utilities and Ann Souter joins as account manager. “As a result of our commitment to customer experience, quality, and open standards, ecobee has become a preferred partner for utility demand response and energy efficiency programs,” said Stuart Lombard, president & CEO, ecobee. “With the announcement of two new team members, we will continue to drive innovative partnerships and growth with utility companies across North America.”

Perreault joins ecobee from Cooper Power Systems, where she was the global product director and led their demand response business. Perreault also spent seven years with Xcel Energy and managed the near 1 GW DR program portfolio that spanned residential, commercial, and industrial customer segments. Souter has been a part of the ecobee team since 2009. She has been an integral part of implementing the company’s operational infrastructure, to setting up and leading the Inside Sales team. As account manager, Souter will manage the growth of utility partnerships and act as the day-to-day contact for all programs.  

Based in Toronto, ON, ecobee works with utility companies across North America including Milton Hydro, San Diego Gas & Electric, Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison, National Grid, Austin Energy, Just Energy, Milton Hydro, Electricity Maine, Taylor Electric and Avista.
