Emerson consolidates businesses

August 12, 2015 | By HPAC Magazine

Emerson Climate Technologies has announced the integration of its St. Louis-based White-Rodgers and Flow Controls businesses into a single organization as of October 1, 2015.

Jack Huether, president of White-Rodgers, an Emerson executive with over 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry will assume responsibility for the new entity. The consolidated business, operating as White-Rodgers, will feature a portfolio of heating and cooling products, including furnace and water heater gas valves, ignition controls, thermostats, expansion valves and system protection components, sold under the White-Rodgers and Emerson brands.

White-Rodgers will continue to be part of the Emerson Climate Technologies business platform led by Bob Sharp, Emerson executive vice president and business leader.  “The alignment of these two businesses will create a much stronger offering from Emerson Climate Technologies in the HVAC/R market and the synergies in product development, engineering, and operations will provide our customers with better solutions to their system requirements.” said Sharp.

Several changes in the sales and marketing organizations support the new alignment. Geoff Godwin will assume the role of vice president of OEM sales for the global business. Bob Brown was named vice president of aftermarket sales including United States, Latin America, and Canada. Ed Blittschau was named vice president of marketing and product planning.
