Grundfos Canada showcased its groundwater and water management solutions at CanWell, Canada’s National Groundwater Symposium, from June 10 to 14 in Kelowna, BC. The biennial event showcased well drilling, pump equipment/installation, well rehabilitation demonstrations, seminars and a trade show. Grundfos took the opportunity to highlight its products that serve the groundwater, water utility and irrigation sectors.

Prior to the show Simon Feddema, president of Grundfos Canada, commented that “At CanWell 2014 we are offering a broader range of products that we’ve never before shown at a groundwater show. These versatile solutions are an important part of our product portfolio for the market and provide the end users with the efficiency and reliability they have come to expect from Grundfos.”

Other Grundfos products on display included the SEG range of grinder pumps  and the energy-saving CRE pump for industrial applications. In addition, the CME Plus horizontal multistage close-coupled pump and the compact MQ, an all-in-one pressure booster unit, were on display. The company also featured its SQE constant pressure system; its GO mobile toolbox; the CU331 constant pressure variable frequency drive; SP submersible pump; and CUE frequency converters.

Grundfos Canada opened its 23,000squarefoot facility in Oakville, ON in 1996. The  facility includes a large training area and space for assembly and inventory. In 2002, Grundfos Canada expanded to accommodate technical and customer support, as well as additional inventory and assembly operations. With Grundfos’ acquisition of Peerless Pumps; Peerless Pumps Canada moved into the Oakville facility in 2010, opening up the fire pump market for the Canadian sales office. In 2012 Grundfos celebrated its 20th year of operations in Canada. Today it employs more than 75 people.
