It is official: CMPX 2016 is sold out

February 9, 2016 | By Doug Picklyk

The CMPX 2016 organizing committee has announced that the show floor is “sold out” to the maximum occupancy allowed by the Fire Marshall’s office. The show opens Wednesday March 16 and runs through March 17 and 18, totally filling the 200,000 square foot Metro Toronto Convention Centre North Building on Front Street.

“CMPX, the Canadian Mechanical and Plumbing Exposition has consistently been a sold out show, time after time, filling over 200,000 sq. ft. of display space, hosting over 550 exhibiting companies, presenting more than 1000 separate exhibit booths and attracting more than 13,000 attendees,” said CMPX 2016 show chairman, Gerry Cellucci of Yorkland Controls.

Jointly presented since 1972 by the industry’s leading associations, HRAI and CIPH, the CMPX show offers a range of features to address the needs of technicians, contractors, architects, engineers, specifiers, building managers and other professionals in the mechanicals industry. The New Product Showcase is a special area where a large display of the latest new products are gathered for easy viewing. Many companies plan their new product introductions for CMPX.

The “CMPX Connections” Show Floor Theatre is a new feature for 2016. This theatre will be the home for the CMPX 2016 Learning Forum; a schedule of educational sessions on industry technologies and trends, as well as issues affecting the HVAC/R and plumbing markets. In a separate area, CMPX will again feature the Heating System Skills Competition. Technicians, young and old alike, will show off their skills to the audience as the best and brightest young people entering the industry, compete for prizes and recognition.

Adding even more value for the attendees, there will be daily Breakfast Keynote Presentations. On Wednesday, March 16, Bill MacGowan of Cisco Systems will share his vision of The Internet of Things (IoT) – the Opportunities and Impact of Connected HVAC/R Equipment and Devices. On Thursday, March 17, John Siegenthaller will share new hydronics ideas presenting Low Ambient Air to Water Heat Pumps – An Emerging Renewal Energy Heat Source. On Friday, March 18 Rajan Rajendran of Emerson Climate Technologies will cover What You Need To Know About Changing Refrigerants and Refrigerant Regulations.

Visit the HPAC booth at CMPX for your chance to Win Tools from Bacharach, Flir, hilmor, testo, UEi, and Viega.
