Jaga turns up the heat with a New Worldwide Design Challenge

June 5, 2013 | By HPAC Magazine

What makes you hot? Jaga wants your ideas.

To help people realize the power of heat, Jaga Climate Systems has announced the Jaga-Mookum challenge, an international design contest that recognizes new innovations in heating accessories. From slippers that can be warmed by the heat of a radiator to a plate warmer that keeps hot cocoa warm, the winning design will receive a cash prize of approximately $2,500 US dollars and a jury prize. Open to anyone around the world, the winning design will be created with natural materials and using a “cradle to cradle” approach. The unit must not cost more than $125 US dollars to produce and be a functional heating accessory. In addition to cash prizes, the winning design will sold through Jaga’s online shop and receive additional marketing and communications support through contest press releases, Jaga newsletters and throughout social media channels.
The winning design will be selected by an independent panel of judges and announced on July 1, 2013.
