Koldwave manufacturing moving to Mestek’s NC facility

Koldwave, a manufacturer of high efficiency portable cooling units that previously operated under Mestex, Inc. in Dallas, TX, is now under the Mestek Distributor Products Group umbrella. As a result, all manufacturing will be moving to Mestek’s largest facility located in Farmville, NC. All sales and marketing, engineering, research and development will be moving to Mestek’s corporate campus in Westfield, MA.

Koldwave was founded in Chicago in 1946 and acquired by Mestek, Inc. in 1995.  The company’s history in the cooling segment Initially began with the production of industrial and commercial cooling equipment, including oil coolers, unit coolers and beverage dispensers. Koldwave now produces specialty portable air conditioning and heat pumps.
