Marks Supply acquired by U.S.-based Munch’s Supply

Celebrating its 65th year in business, this is Munch's Supply's first entry into the Canadian market.
Munch’s Supply, a U.S.-based HVAC distributor celebrating its 65th year in business in 2021 has made its first entry into the Canadian market with the acquisition of Marks Supply, an Ontario HVAC distributor with nine branches, three retail plumbing showrooms and two distribution centres.
“We have come a long way since my father started this business in 1962,” said Marks Supply president Robin Todd in a media release, adding, “Curtis Shea will step into the role of president and lead the Canadian operations for the combined company and continue to expand the product offering and capabilities in our region.”
The acquisition demonstrates Munch’s ongoing growth in the HVAC and plumbing marketplace and reinforces its partnering with family and customer service focused businesses looking for either a long-term partnership or an exit strategy.
Munch’s Supply is owned by Ridgemont Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm, which supports the company in its organic and mergers and acquisitions growth.
The addition of Marks Supply, including its Watermarks division, expands Munch’s geographic footprint to 51 locations serving 16 U.S. states and one Canadian province.
