MEET Show delayed to 2022

January 18, 2021 | By HPAC Magazine

Already rescheduled twice from its original May 2020 date, the show will return to its biennial rotation taking place May 4-5, 2022 in Moncton.

Organizers behind the MEET (Mechanical Electrical Electronic Technology) Show have announced its postponement to 2022.

Already rescheduled twice from its original May 2020 date due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the eastern Canada industry event including a trade show and educational sessions will now take place May 4-5, 2022 at the Moncton Coliseum Complex.

Originally slated for May 6-7, 2020, the event was initially postponed to November 18-19, 2020 and then to May 5-6, 2021. The ongoing quarantine requirements, border closures, and the fact that many companies still have bans on corporate travel and in-person events have led to this latest date change, note the show organizers.

“We were optimistic that we’d be able to proceed with the event this May, but the current situation means we’ll need to wait a while longer before we can get everyone together in Moncton,” said Show Manager Shawn Murphy. “We know that both exhibitors and attendees are excited to get back to face-to-face events and we will provide the environment to do just that – as soon as it is safe to do so. For now, we are keeping the health and safety of everyone involved with the event as our top priority.”

The decision was made in consultation with the show’s four sponsoring associations: IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) – Maritime Sections, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating, Electro-Federation Canada and ACME (Atlantic Canada Mechanical Exhibitors).
