The draft review of CSA-A770 is available for comment until December 15, 2014. The new standard for home inspection specifies requirements for the physical inspection of homes and associated property, including single-family dwellings and manufactured homes; multi-residential buildings; and condominium units.
This Standard has requirements for the review of building components and systems; non-invasive inspection and testing procedures; and minimum reporting requirements. It does not apply to qualification or certification of individuals conducting a home inspection; inspection of industrial, commercial, or institutional buildings; or common elements in condominiums, strata plans, etc.
