Regency Fireplace recalls two gas-stove models

No serious injuries have been reported and no other products manufactured by Regency are impacted.

Regency Fireplace Products has initiated a safety recall of two of its gas-stove models sold between January 2001 and January 2018 across Ontario.

The models included in this recall are numbers U39 and U37. Consumers can register for the recall with Regency.

The pressure release mechanism at the back of the firebox was found to, under certain conditions during a delayed ignition, result in front door glass fracture causing glass to expel forward. www.regency-fire.com
