Seresco Technologies doubles operation capacity, names Kilmer Environmental Rep of the Year

February 18, 2015 | By HPAC Magazine

Seresco Technologies, a manufacturer of indoor pool dehumidifier HVAC equipment, has doubled its space with an expansion into a new Ottawa-based manufacturing, warehousing and office headquarters. The expansion follows Seresco’s 25 per cent annual sales increases over the last three years and allows the 12-year-old company to increase its workforce. Seresco’s Protocol NP-Series dehumidifier and the WebSentry control system have driven sales growth. The larger, automated manufacturing plant will help Seresco increase production capacity by 100 per cent and add a second shift, which will reduce lead times for commercial dehumidifiers ranging up to 140-tons in size and 70,000 cfms.

In other Seresco news, the company named manufacturer’s representative Kilmer Environmental of Mississauga, ON, as its Rep of Year at the AHR Expo in Chicago, IL, in January 2015. Kilmer Environmental specializes in humidity control and has sold hundreds of commercial and residential dehumidifier projects the past 28 years in its territory of Toronto and surrounding areas, reported Mark Palitza, Seresco’s regional sales manager. “They significantly outperformed the previous rep firm they replaced last year after only nine months of joining our team,” said Palitza.

According to Seresco, the most notable projects sold by Kilmer in 2014 were the Mayfield Recreation Complex, Caledon, ON and the City of Toronto’s Cummer Park Community Centre and Antibes Community Centre. The 3500-sq.-ft. Mayfield natatorium features a dry cooler built-on to a Seresco Protocol NP Series, 40-ton dehumidifier, which uses significantly less refrigerant than conventional dehumidifiers.  Cummer Park and Antibes were both retrofit projects using Seresco’s NE-Series dehumidifiers.
