Systemair AB has acquired Change’Air, a manufacturer of ventilation equipment for classrooms in North America. Change’Air turnover for 2011 was 11.6 million USD and has experienced a growth rate of 21 per cent over the past three years. The company with 65 employees has its headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Alymer, ON. “The acquisition of Change’Air opens up new marketing channels for Systemair’s products and gives us access to 59 sales agents and approximately 300 sales engineers in North America. Their coverage included 42 states in the United States, and six provinces in Canada,” said Systemair president and CEO Gerald Engström. Roland Mazerolle, managing director of Systemair Canada, added: “This acquisition gives us great opportunities to grow within the commercial market in North America and reinforce our commitment to market the Systemair brand in this segment.”
Systemair has operations in 37 countries. Its main North American production facility of energy recovery ventilators and inline fans for commercial and residential applications is located in Bouctouche, NB where it recently added the production of the newly acquired W.C. Woods line of dehumidification products.
