Technical Safety BC moves to all digital design registration

Design registration can now be submitted online for boilers and pressure equipment, welding, procedures, and gas technologies.
Technical Safety BC has become the first regulator in British Columbia to move equipment design registration online. Clients can now submit their designs using interactive forms, attach relevant documents, drawings, notes, and specifications to the application.
After creating an account and logging in, equipment design clients can view or recall previously registered designs, communicate with Technical Safety BC’s engineering team, and track the progress of submissions.
It is important to note that it is required by the Safety Standards Act and Regulations to have any regulated designs registered through Technical Safety BC. Design registration can now be submitted online for boilers and pressure equipment, welding, procedures, and gas technologies.
Availability of online design registration for all other technologies will follow and updates will be provided on the Technical Safety BC webpage.
