Water-use efficiency objective considered for building and plumbing codes

A proposed addition of a water-use efficiency objective for the National Building Code and National Plumbing Code is being considered. The Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC) is expanding the mandate of the Joint Group Task Force on Water-Use Efficiency Objective and has agreed to include recommendations from the task force on the proposed scope of requirements. The Standing Committee on Building and Plumbing Services has been assigned the role of developing the technical requirements.
