Wolseley Canada‘s 300,000 sq. ft. distribution centre at 8039 Fifth Line in Milton, ON, has won the 2014 Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Canada National Earth Award in the Light Industrial Building category in partnership with the building’s landlord, Bentall Kennedy (Canada) LP. The award recognizes excellence in buildings across Canada that have made significant efforts to address environmental issues.

“I’m so proud of our team,” says Bill Hillier, general manager of Wolseley’s Distribution Centre. “To win something like this is fantastic. It speaks volumes as to what we do as a company. It’s a great feeling to work with a team who make the right decisions from a green standpoint.”

The winners’ names were announced at the annual BOMA award ceremony held on September 11 in Winnipeg, MB. In order to be eligible for the national awards, each building must win the award at the regional level for its respective category, which Wolseley did in July 2014.
