Technical Safety BC has introduced new guidelines for licensed contractors. The updated conditions will require licensed contractors to publish their company name and Technical Safety BC licence number when advertising their services to the public.

While the regulation goes into effect on September 6, 2022, the deadlines to update advertising materials will be rolled out in a three-phased approach:

  • Phase 2 – Non-digital or offline sales and marketing materials will need to be updated with your Technical Safety BC licence number by September 30, 2023.
  • Phase 3 – Assets such as vehicles and storefronts will need to be updated with your Technical Safety BC licence number by January 1, 2024.
