The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) has opened registration for its 2021 Student Chapter Summit taking place  1:00-4:00 pm, March 12.

The association is inviting MCAC members, students and faculty of mechanical engineering programs to take part in this first-ever virtual edition of the program.

The annual event attracts members of MCAC Student Chapters from across the country providing a platform for students to network and learn about trends and opportunities in Canada’s mechanical contracting sector.

“MCA Canada is committed to supporting the next generation of workers in the mechanical contracting sector, and this event continues to be an annual highlight for our association,” says Tania Johnston, MCAC CEO, in an announcement.

The one-day program will provide an overview of career opportunities available in the mechanical contracting sector, as well as the role the sector can play with respect to building performance.

In addition, attendees will join the team members from LNG Canada and their prime contractor, JGC Flour JV, to learn more about the liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Kitimat, B.C. and participate in a short ‘Engineering Feat’ hosted by the construction team from the site in Kitimat.
