Massachusetts-based thermoplastic valve and pipe manufacturer Asahi/America, Inc. has announced a partnership with Bänninger. Through this new partnership, Asahi/America will have exclusive distribution rights in North America to the German manufacturer’s PP-RCT piping systems for the commercial plumbing market. At press time a company spokesperson noted that Asahi/America is still working out the details with Canadian distributors.
Marketed under the tradename Asahitec, Asahi/America will offer Bänninger’s Climatec system for hydronic heating applications, and the Watertec system for potable water.
“I’m excited about our new partnership with Bänninger,” said Asahi/America president and chief executive officer Daniel Anderson. “They share the same core values of supplying quality products and excellent customer service that we do. The relationship will help both companies expand their market reach and grow their customer base.”
Bänninger, headquartered in Reiskirchen, Germany, has been manufacturing thermoplastic pipe and fittings for the plumbing industry since 1970. Likewise, Asahi/America has been supplying thermoplastic valves, pipe and fittings, and actuation to a variety of industrial markets since 1971. Both companies are ISO 9001:2008 certified. The Asahitec line is NSF 14-pw certified.
“We looked for a partner who is professional in solving installation problems, focused on distributors, and has expertise with high-quality products,” said Bänninger’s chief executive officer Henry Roske. “Asahi/America is a perfect fit for our 46-years’ experience in manufacturing thermoplastic pipes and fittings. Bänninger is also proud to partner with Asahi/America, because of our similar philosophies and our potential to grow together.”
Asahi/America, Inc. specializes in providing solutions for fluid handling systems, individualized to meet virtually any customer’s need.
