The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating Exposition (CIPHEX) West will return to Calgary, AB, on November 7 and 8, 2018. The trade show features more than 250 global exhibitors. It will focus on plumbing, hydronics, HVAC/R and water treatment.
The two-day, 30,000 square foot showcase will be attended by contractors, wholesalers, engineers, building managers and other industry professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and learn about new products and technologies.
Seminar topics include thermostatic mixing valves, rainwater harvesting systems in commercial buildings, radon gas protection, hydronic snow melting systems, control panel troubleshooting and an update on the 2020 National Plumbing Code of Canada, among others.
Speakers include: Rick Proulx, business development director at Reliance Worldwide Corporation (Canada) Inc.; David Innes, director of sales for Radon Environmental Management Corp; Rick Mayo, residential trainer for the western region at Taco Comfort Solutions; and Edward Van Giesen, national sales manager at RainCycle, a Watts company, among others.
The Canadian Hydronics Conference, presented by the Canadian Hydronics Council, (CHC) will also take place at CIPHEX West.
Among presenters include HPAC columnist John Siegenthaler, who will lead two talks: Modifying Existing Hydronic Systems for Lower Water Temperature and Documenting Hydronic Systems.
William Werthman, senior technical advisor at Legend Valve & Fitting Inc. will present Radiant Cooling with Dry Panel Systems. Matt Wiesenfeld, program manager at the Canadian Hydronics Council will lead a seminar titled Heat Up Your Hydronic Sales – Tips to Grow Your Business.
The CIPHEX industry diner will be held November 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will include a presentation by John Morris, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist in curling.
BUILDEX Calgary and CIPHEX West will co-locate in halls B and C at the BMO Centre in Calgary, AB. CIPHEX West will offer complimentary trade show access to BUILDEX Calgary delegates.
