Over 40 skilled trade and technology competitions, representing six sectors, will take place at this year’s Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC).

SCNC will be held from June 4 to 5, 2018 at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, AB. It brings together over 550 youth from all regions of Canada.

The competition aims to provide hands-on work experience and raise awareness about skilled trade and technology sectors.

Students must compete at local, regional and provincial/territorial events in order to represent their province or territory at SCNC.

SCNC is open to the public on competition days. It will offer 50 Try-A-Trade and Technology activities for visiting youth, a “Career Zone” and an essential skills forum.

The opening and closing ceremonies promise a crowd of 2,000. Interactive demonstrations by various stakeholder groups and celebrities will be held on the Essential Skills Stage. www.skillscompetencescanada.com
