Refrigeration institute to host 25th congress in Montreal, QC

Refrigeration industry professionals are set to converge at the Montreal Convention Centre this August.

The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) is will host its 25th International Congress of Refrigeration in Montreal, QC from August 24 to 30, 2019.

Plenary speaker Gaétan Lantagne, director of strategic and cross-functional projects at the Hydro-Québec Research Institute, will kick-off the technical program.

The program will include 16 keynote presentations, 10 workshops, 10 IIR working group meetings, four IIR collaborative-commission meetings and four technical tours – as well as various social events.

Backers for the congress include the Canada GeoExchange Coalition, Fonds de recherche du Québec and Hydro-Québec Research Institute.

ASHRAE, Honeywell, IEA Heat Pump Centre, Cemafroid, Frascold, Rehva and Shecco have also confirmed support, according to IIR.
