Chemours promoting global F-gas reclamation program

The company participates in the Refrigerant Management Canada program and aims to do more around the world.
The Chemours Company has announced the creation of an international F-gas Lifecycle Program across the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
The aim of the program is to advance safe recovery, reclaim, and reuse of fluorinated gases (F-gases) across its Opteon products, Freon refrigerants, and fire suppressant FM-200 portfolios around the globe. Â
The program, which began as region and country-specific initiatives, will now include global oversight to drive adoption, partnerships, and reclamation.
In Canada, Chemours already participates in the Refrigerant Management Canada program.
In a media release, the company notes its intent to invest in reclaim channels in the U.S. and a recent extension of a pilot program in the EU and UKÂ to reclaim Opteon XP40 refrigerants.
