Noble scholarship offered to plumbing, HVAC students at Toronto college

Noble plumbing HVAC scholarship George Brown College

Attendees included Noble’s team and George Brown College faculty and students from the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies.

Noble has donated $30,000 to fund scholarships for plumbing and HVAC students at George Brown College in Toronto, ON.

The Noble Futures Award will be presented annually to four first- and second-year full-time students for the next five years, starting in the 2017-18 academic year.

Eligible programs in the college’s Construction and Engineering Technologies, School of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades include: Plumbing Techniques Program (T165), Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician Program (T160) and/or the Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology Program (T162).

Awards will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.

“We look forward to working with graduates from George Brown as they enter their career and we partner as industry professionals, but while they are in school we look forward to watching them grow and learn,” said Jim Anderson, general manager of Noble Corporation.

The donation was celebrated during a cheque presentation ceremony, along with Noble’s 25th anniversary. www.noble.ca
