February 25, 2019 | By Jillian Morgan

Refrigerant company A-Gas Americas has announced its expansion in the Canadian market in February, along with new leadership in the region.

Louise McCann, managing director of A-Gas, said the company has “strong relationships within Canada, having participated in the reclaim R22 market for several years.”

Jim Flowers will take over as business director of A-Gas Canada. Prior to this role, Flowers was the manager of market development for packaged chemicals and refrigerants at Linde Canada.

“The recent implementation of the HFC allowance system in Canada will bring new challenges and opportunities in the Canadian market for real change,” Flowers said. “I am excited about the opportunity with A-Gas to make instrumental changes to support this developing market.”

A-Gas Americas is a subsidiary of A-Gas International, headquartered in Bristol, UK. The company’s core offering includes environmental solutions and lifecycle management services for ozone depleting substances and global warming agents. www.agasamericas.com
