Cleaver-Brooks expands condensing offering through acquisition

Cleaver-Brooks, Inc. has acquired Camus Hydronics, Ltd., a Mississauga, ON-based company that designs and manufactures condensing hydronic boilers and heaters for commercial, institutional, large residential and light industrial markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Cleaver-Brooks is a strong brand, well-known for engineering and manufacturing energy-efficient boiler room solutions. Camus Hydronics has enjoyed strong growth in recent years, and we know the company will continue to thrive with the resources and expertise of Cleaver-Brooks behind it,” said Camus Hydronics president Mario Ruscio.

Bart Aitken, president and CEO of Cleaver-Brooks, added, “Through this acquisition, Cleaver-Brooks further strengthens its position in the rapidly expanding condensing hydronic boiler market. Products manufactured by Camus Hydronics are regarded to be highly efficient and reliable. Its line of condensing hydronic products is complementary to ours, which will broaden our market appeal to better meet customer needs worldwide.”

Camus is also a manufacturer of replacement parts for most copper finned water heaters and heating boilers as well as a supplier of speciality HVAC products. The company’s manufacturing facility includes a testing lab, engineering department, manufacturing and assembly lines, warehouse and parts depot.
